Martial arts like judo, karate, taikwando, aikido and kung fu had their relevance in Japan. Currently these diverse types of martial arts are extremely popular among men as well as women. Youngsters and even kids are deeply fascinated by diverse types of martial arts. However, one vital aspect which should be considered is that the notion of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very complete when compared with other types of martial arts in the world. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gives complete or total satisfaction or input which you may not find in any other form of martial art elsewhere. The kind of delight and gratification which Brazilian Jiu Jitsu imparts cannot be compared with any other type of martial art without any doubt. With the advent of technology guns replaced swords and the very notion of martial arts got reduced quite significantly. Martial arts involved hands, wrists, legs, shoulders and other body parts to combat the opponent but with the arrival of gun and bullet all the tremendous characteristics of self defense and attack got eliminated or diminished. The legendary fighter and Hollywood star Bruce Lee suggested that “it is a classical mess”. Again with the passage of time Judo and karate coupled with exemplary Brazilian Jiu Jitsu completely revived or altered the overall scope of martial arts. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was initially introduced by the Gracie family in Brazil in the year 1915 by exemplary Esai Maeda. Esai Maeda was famously called as “Conde Koma”. The name “Conde Koma” originated when Esai Maeda was in Spain in the year 1908. When Esai Maeda was in Spain he was financially very weak and he used to involve the Japanese word “komaru” which means difficulty to explain him. However, with the passage of time he realized that the word Komaru is not ideal and he instantly changed it to Koma. Later in his life he received the prestigious title of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well and almost known by this name. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very popular at present as the art involves sophisticated techniques and other skills that anyone can use them with utmost perfection and authority without any trouble. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is very famous and well admired in United States of America as well. Esai Maeda also went to United States and performed the art in front of Theodore Roosevelt in White House with full aplomb and received standing ovation from the audience. |
